Interactive hands-on training is the hallmark of this course, designed for all those riding and working in remote locations in the British Isles. Training and scenarios are based on mountain bike riding, looking at being more than several minutes, and up to several hours from help, or the rescue team arriving.
The first day covers the Emergency Action MTB content with the second day building upon this. This qualification covers the needs of the outdoor national governing bodies for their Instructor awards.
Suitable for, ML, SPA, BCU, RYA, BOF, MIA, MIC etc.
The outdoor environment nearly always means that the casualty has to be looked after for a longer timescale than is typical in a more urban setting. All of our Outdoor First Aid courses look at how to manage the situation when the ambulance does not turn up within 10 minutes time and are appropriate if your work or leisure place is remote. No previous First Aid knowledge is needed.
2 days / 8 x 2 hour course
Experienced professional trainers with an active professional interest in First Aid training.
